Amabhinca
Documentary Photography | Visual Research | Image + Text
An ongoing personal project documenting South African style, identity and cultural histories through image and text. Focusing on Amabhinca, the series explores a distinctive expression of Zulu masculinity shaped by sartorial codes, Maskandi music, brotherhood and an unmistakable sense of personal style. Through documentary photography and written narratives, the project builds a visual archive of a living culture, preserving its people, stories and evolving expressions of African dandyism.
